Eynesbury College offers a wide variety of programs from English language preparation, High School, Foundation Studies to Diploma programs.

Following is list of programs offered at Eynesbury College:

English Language Preparation

The Eynesbury College Academy of English offers programs that are designed to enable students to transition into a wide range of study options at Eynesbury and other institutions.

English For General Purposes

English for General Purposes (EGP) is designed for students who are at beginner level of English. Students will require an IELTS of 3.5 or equivalent to commence English for General Purposes.

Each level is studied over two 5 week modules. The total study required for each level is 10 weeks. Students can expect to study 20 – 25 hours per week in the classroom, plus self-directed study as required. Students can expect their IELTS to improve 0.5 for each 10 week block of successful study. Assessment is based on coursework, exams and minimum attendance requirements.

English For Academic Purposes Preparation

The English for Academic Purposes Preparation Program prepares students to study intermediate level English. EAPP entry requirement is IELTS 4.0 or equivalent.

English For Academic Purposes

English for Academic Purposes (EAP) develops in students the English language skills required to succeed at academic study. The entry requirement is IELTS 4.5 or equivalent. Each level is studied over two 5 week modules. Students can expect their IELTS to improve 0.5 for each 10 week block of successful study.

There are three levels in this program and the entry requirements for each of the three levels are:

EAP 1: IELTS 4.5 or equivalent, no less than 4.5 in writing and speaking

EAP 2: IELTS 5.0 or equivalent, no less than 5.0 in writing and speaking

EAP 3: IELTS 5.5 or equivalent, no less than 5.5 in writing and speaking.

PTE Academic Preparatory Courses

PTE Academic is the world's leading computer-based test of English for study abroad and immigration and the fastest growing test in Australia. Approved by the Australian Government for visa applications and accepted by thousands of institutions in the UK, Australia, USA, Canada, New Zealand, and Ireland. Typically PTE Academic results are available within five business days. Eynesbury is one of only two PTE Academic Test Centres in Adelaide.

Eynesbury offers a 9 hour PTE Academic Preparation Course for students to prepare themselves to sit the PTE Academic test

Length: 3 x 3 hour sessions (5.30-8.30pm on consecutive Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday evenings)

Venue: Eynesbury, Ground Floor, 16-20 Coglin Street, Adelaide

Cost: $300. Cost includes all class materials and online training resources

Senior Secondary High School, Years 10 -12

Eynesbury offers a contemporary curriculum with a wide and diverse range of subjects for Year 10, 11 and 12.

We offer career advice to assist students with program and University choice to match specific career choices.

Student resilience and wellbeing are essential for both academic and social development and this is optimised by the provision of safe, supportive and respectful learning environments. The Eynesbury Mentor program is a weekly event that supports students’ cognitive, behavioural and emotional engagement in school with strategies to deal with a variety of situations that can impact on a students’ overall wellbeing. The Mentor program has speakers ranging from old scholars to professionals across a wide range of industries.

In addition the Mentor Program and the Personal Learning Plan assist students in developing an understanding of their strengths, opportunities for development, tertiary and career planning.

Year 10

In Year 10, students will commence study towards the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) with their Personal Learning Plan. International students will also focus on English language development in English or English as Another Language or Dialect (EALD), as well as Mathematics, Science and a range of elective subjects.

Year 11

In Year 11, students will choose from a range of 10 and 20 credit subjects. Students must complete a minimum of 120 subject credits including a minimum of 20 credits (one full year) of English or English as Another Language or Dialect (EALD), and a minimum of 10 credits (one semester, or half a year) of Maths. Students will also start their SACE Research Project, which is one of the compulsory SACE requirements. Year 11 is the same as SACE Stage 1.

Year 11 Subjects

Eynesbury students are able to choose from a range of SACE Stage 1 subjects. In addition to the Personal Learning Plan (if not completed in Year 10), there are two compulsory requirements to complete Stage 1 – a full year of English subjects (which includes English as an Additional Language or Dialect), and a minimum of a semester of Maths. Each semester of study is 10 SACE credits. Students complete a minimum of 120 credits in Year 11. This may include the compulsory Stage 2 Research Project.

Year 12

In Year 12, most students will take five, full-year subjects. If students have not completed their Research Project, they can complete this is in Year 12.

Year 12 Subjects

Year 12 is the final year of SACE study. Eynesbury students are able to choose from a range of SACE Stage 2 subjects. In Year 12, most students will undertake five, full-year subjects. Eynesbury Foundation Studies Programs

Foundation Studies Program (FSP) is a pre-University preparation program, equivalent to Australian Year 12 which prepares students for entry into first year university.

The Foundation Studies Program

Students will study three core courses, as well as three elective choices in their area of study interest (including business, engineering, health science, humanities and science). Students will be graded on a score out of five hundred which is used for entry to university.

The Extended FSP is suitable for students who need to develop their English language skills or undertake further study in key academic areas.

Diploma Programs

Eynesbury offer Diploma programs in Business, Computing & IT, and Engineering. Students with the equivalent of Australian year 12 can study a Diploma in 8 or 12 months with guaranteed entry into second year at one of our universities partners (subject to academic requirements). For Business and IT programs, students who have completed the equivalent of Australian year 11 can start with Stage 1 of the two stage Diploma.

One year Diploma of Business

The Diploma of Business is a 2 or 3 trimester program, equivalent to first year of the Bachelor program studied at University. There are a range of core and elective courses with options depending on which university you would like to study at for your second year. The subject material covered in the Diploma of Business program is exactly the same as what is studied in first year university, and also the same as the material covered in Stage 2 of the Diploma of Business Studies program. You can progress Bachelor degree programs at The University of Adelaide or the University of South Australia.

One year Diploma of Computing & IT

The Diploma of Computing & IT is a 2 or 3 trimester program, equivalent to first year of the Bachelor program studied at University. There are eight core courses all students must complete. The subject material covered in the Diploma of Computing & IT program is exactly the same as what is studied in first year university, and also the same as the material covered in the Stage 2 of the Diploma of Computing & IT Studies program. You can progress into Bachelor degree programs at The University of Adelaide or the University of South Australia.

One year Diploma of Engineering

The Diploma of Engineering is a 2 or 3 trimester program, equivalent to first year of the Bachelor program studied at University. There are a range of core and elective courses with options depending on which Bachelor degree you wish to study at university. The subject material covered in the Diploma of Engineering program is exactly the same as what is studied in first year university, and also the same as the material covered in the Stage 2 of the Diploma of Engineering Studies program. You can progress Bachelor degree programs at The University of Adelaide or the University of South Australia.

Two Stage Diploma of Business Studies

The Diploma of Business Studies is a two stage program. Students who graduate from Stage 2 of the Diploma of Business Studies will be eligible for entry into the relevant Bachelor degree at the University of Adelaide or UniSA.
Students who complete Stage 1 can enter directly into 1st Year at ICHM (International College of Hotel Management).

Two stage Diploma of Computing & IT studies

The Two Stage Diploma of Computing & IT Studies program is suitable for students who have studied the equivalent of Australian year 11. The Two Stage program consists of Stage 1 (2 or 3 trimesters) and Stage 2 (a further 2 or 3 trimesters), making a total study period of 4 – 6 trimesters. Students who graduate from Stage 2 of the Two Stage Diploma will be eligible for entry into year 2 of the relevant bachelor degree. The subject material covered in Stage 2 of the Two Stage Diploma program is exactly the same as what is studied in first year university, and also the same as the material covered in the one year Diploma program.
