Charles Darwin University (CDU) is a public university with its main campus in Darwin and eight satellite campuses in some metropolitan and regional areas. CDU was established in 2003 after the merger of Northern Territory University, the Menzies School of Health Research, and Centralian College. CDU is a member of the group of seven Innovative Research Universities in Australia, and offers academic degrees as well as vocational education.

Campuses

Casuarina

Casuarina campus is CDU's largest study location and the main hub for Higher Education, Vocational Education and Training (VET), and Research programs. 

The campus is located on Larrakia country, about 15kms from Darwin's central business district and within 20kms to Palmerston city. 

The nearest shopping centre is a 10-minute stroll away, but you can also jump on one of the many public buses servicing our campus. They also offer free inter-campus bus services between Casuarina and CDU Waterfront, for students, during study semesters. 

They have a variety of on- and off-campus student accommodation options available with access to public transport and other facilities. 

The campus is also less than a 10-minute drive to the Darwin International airport.

Darwin Waterfront

Located next to Darwin Harbour, CDU Waterfront is home to the Asia Pacific College of Business and Law and CDU International College.

Built with the commitment to foster connections with businesses across Darwin's Central Business District and provide educational pathways into Higher Education.

Palmerston

CDU’s Palmerston campus is a friendly, warm and welcoming place for students, staff and visitors. Their aim is to engage with the dynamic and growing community of Palmerston, a Darwin suburb, and the surrounding region in order to contribute to growth and development for future generations.

The campus is home to a number of VET courses, and CDU’s highly acclaimed teaching team consists of experts in culinary arts - commercial cookery, bakery and butchery, tourism and hospitality, hair, beauty and retail, sport and recreation, fitness, Information Communication and Technology (ICT), spoken and written English courses, and children's services and education support. 

CDU also has teaching locations in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, Alice Springs, Katherine and Tennant Creek.
