Hydro Energy in Tasmania - A Renewable Engineering Project by James Beattie

James Beattie is a Final-year Bachelor of Engineering student at the University of Tasmania.

James has been awarded the W.A. Cromarty & Co. Renewable Energy Prize for his research into ‘Dynamic loading of side spillway chutes’ at the School of Engineering’s Honours Project Presentation. James was one of two recipients of the prize.

The event, held at the University of Tasmania’s Sandy Bay campus on Friday, 16 October, saw about 90 students vie for one of 13 awards by pitching their research to a panel of industry judges.
