Labourers, classified under the ANZSCO code 8, are individuals who perform a range of manual and physical tasks using hand and power tools, as well as machinery. They may work independently or as part of a team, supporting skilled workers such as Trades Workers, Machinery Operators, and Drivers.

Labourers typically possess a level of skill that aligns with the following qualifications and experience:
In Australia:
- AQF Certificate II or III, or at least one year of relevant experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 4)
- AQF Certificate I, or compulsory secondary education (ANZSCO Skill Level 5)
In New Zealand:
- NZQF Level 2 or 3 qualification, or at least one year of relevant experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 4)
- NZQF Level 1 qualification, or compulsory secondary education (ANZSCO Skill Level 5)
Some occupations within Skill Level 5 may require additional on-the-job training or experience, while others may not require any formal qualification or training.
Tasks Include:
- Cleaning commercial, industrial, and domestic premises, vehicles, and machines
