  • Assembling parts to form sections of cabinets and furniture, as well as completing the final articles
  • Applying protective coatings to cabinets and furniture
  • Fitting hinges, locks, catches, drawers, shelves, and other associated hardware
  • Constructing frames for chairs and couches
  • May specialize in making reproduction furniture
  • May be involved in the repair and refurbishment of furniture, including antiques
